A LITTLE HELP GETTING SETTLED

Feel at home.

A practical guide to your first CampusNivo installation,
from the download to your first reliable backup.

Purchase your licence at checkout. After verified payment, use your purchase page to download the installer and save your activation and recovery details. Already purchased? Recover your download.

01 / DOWNLOAD & EXPLORE

A fresh start, with a safe place to try.

  1. Download the Windows x64 ZIP, then extract the entire archive to a folder.
  2. Run CampusNivo ERP.exe. Keep the resources folder and other runtime files beside it.
  3. To explore first, close the app and open Start-demo.cmd. Use username admin and password Schoolhouse2026! in this fictional demo only.
  4. Close demo mode before reopening the normal app. Your live workspace and demo are stored separately.

Start with the overview, add a fictional student, record attendance and preview a report card. There is no need to enter real student information while evaluating.

02 / MAKE IT YOUR SCHOOL

The details that make it yours.

On a normal first launch, create your own administrator account and password. Then visit School settings to configure your school name, campuses, classes, subjects and academic year.

Create separate staff accounts with the appropriate role: administrator, principal, accountant, teacher or reception. Assign campus access. Reuse the same app for another school by configuring that school’s own installation.

Student CSV import helps bring in a class list. Review your columns and try a small sample first. The app’s import checks reject invalid rows before committing the batch.

03 / CHECK THE ACTUAL COMPUTER

A little verification goes a long way.

After activating the host, run Verify-installation.cmd from the extracted folder. It uses a temporary fictional school and writes verification-report.json. It does not modify the live school.

  • Confirm that the report says the checks passed.
  • Close and reopen the app; verify that your test records persist.
  • Try Windows upload/download dialogs and your school’s printer or PDF driver.
  • If you will use a school LAN, test HTTPS access from a second staff computer.
  • Review your grading rules, receipts, certificate wording and payroll inputs.
Verify the ZIP with PowerShell

Open PowerShell in the folder containing the downloaded ZIP:

Get-FileHash .\CampusNivo-ERP-windows-x64.zip -Algorithm SHA256

Compare the returned hash with the checksum provided with your purchased release.

04 / KEEP A SECOND COPY

Local data deserves a good backup.

  1. Connect a reliable separate backup device. In Backup & recovery, choose its folder and run Back up now.
  2. Check the last successful snapshot. Automatic copies are also made at startup, hourly and on normal exit. The newest 30 regular copies per installation are kept.
  3. Use Export encrypted backup for a portable .schoolbackup file. Save a daily copy to another device or an off-site location. Keep its passphrase separately.
  4. Practise restoration on a separate Windows installation. Create a temporary school, choose Restore from backup, enter that installation’s administrator password, the backup passphrase and RESTORE.
  5. Sign in with an account contained in the restored backup, then check students, fee balances, attachments and published report cards.

A backup on the same disk is not enough. The live database and raw automatic snapshots are not encrypted by the app. Use Windows permissions, device encryption and a UPS. No backup can recover changes made after its last successful copy.

Restore replaces the destination’s current school records. The app makes a pre-restore snapshot, keeps the destination computer’s backup folder and signs out all sessions.

GOOD QUESTIONS

A few things you might be wondering.

Does CampusNivo need the internet?

You need internet to purchase, download and activate the app, and for approved host replacement. Everyday school operations run locally afterwards. The desktop app does not require a cloud account. If staff use browsers on a school network, the host computer must be running and reachable.

Can we use it for more than one campus?

Yes. One installation can hold a school group with multiple campuses, shared configuration and campus-based account access. Independent installations do not automatically synchronise with each other.

Can several staff members use it?

Yes, using individual accounts and roles. One computer can act as the shared host for staff browsers on a configured HTTPS school network. This needs local network, firewall and trusted-certificate setup. Do not share an open SQLite file over a network drive.

Can we create our own report cards?

You can save assessment schemes with component weights, grades and pass rules, then choose and customise Classic, Compact or Detailed templates. Add a school logo, headings, sections, signature labels and a footer. Arbitrary Word/PDF template uploads and free-position design are not included.

What if the computer or drive fails?

Recovery depends on a surviving backup. Automatic snapshots run at startup, hourly and on normal exit while the app can access the destination. A separate device protects against loss of the main disk. Changes made after the last surviving copy can still be lost; no system can promise zero data loss.

Why might Windows show a warning?

The Windows candidate is undergoing signing and acceptance before sales open. Windows may warn about an unknown publisher or unfamiliar download. Check that the file came from this site and that its checksum matches. If your school’s policy blocks it, ask your IT administrator to review it; do not disable Windows protection.

Is this a one-time purchase?

Yes. The price is ₹4,999 for one school host, including its connected staff browsers. Downloads require a verified purchase. There is no public evaluation installer. Checkout stays closed until payment setup, support details and release acceptance are complete.

Are macOS and Linux supported?

The first release targets Windows x64. Development and automated testing have been performed on macOS, but there is no supported macOS or Linux download here.

WHEN YOU NEED A HAND
